2023 Lyons Will Macedon Ranges Gamay

Lyons Will is a family owned and run property. Husband and wife team, Oliver and Renata are both vignerons and winemakers. They live on the vineyard with their two children. At a recent wine tasting we were very impressed with their Riesling, Gamay and Pinot Noir.
This wine is driven by Renata's time spent in Burgundy and the delicacy of the grape variety. The grapes are handpicked, basket pressed and matured in old French barrels for 9 months. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered. Aromas of deli meats and smoky bacon. The palate is lovely and punchy with subtle tannins and ripe berry fruit characters.
