2022 Lyons Will Macedon Ranges Pinot Noir

Lyons Will is a family owned and run property. Husband and wife team, Oliver and Renata are both vignerons and winemakers. They live on the vineyard with their two children. At a recent wine tasting we were very impressed with their Riesling, Gamay and Pinot Noir.
Their Pinot Noir vines were originally planted for sparkling production. There are four plots which are picked by hand before the fruit goes through a wild ferment. The wine spends 12 months in oak (mixture of new and 1 year old) before bottling (unfined and unfiltered). Autumnal and forest floor aromas lead to a bright, cherry driven palate. The wine is pretty and stylish.
