Graeme and Sue Leith planted their Bendigo property in 1974, with Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon. They started out making a hearty Shiraz / Cabernet blend, which they still produce to this day, under the Graeme’s blend.
After years of drought, they looked to Macedon and a cooler site to grow Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. In 2010 their fruit was ready. By this time Cameron, second generation Leith winemaker had taken over the reins.
Today Cameron makes hearty Bendigo reds and delicate Macedon Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Riesling. 2020 marks 40 years of Passing Clouds Shiraz.
