We’ve always admired the wines of the Watson family. Their entry level wines are ridiculously cheap (under the Watson Family brand) and the Woodlands range awesome drinking.
David and Heather Watson were one of the original ½ dozen families who planted vines in Margaret River (in the early 1970s). Fifty years on it’s the second generation who run the show, Stuart (winemaker) and Andrew (sales and marketing).
The Cabernet Merlot is tightly packed full of cassis and mulberry fruit.
