John Ellis is the man behind the Bellvale wines. His former life was as a Pan Am pilot, flying around the world. His love of wine lead him to Burgundy to learn how to grow and make wine. After leaving the airlines he went on a quest to find the perfect patch of land to start his own winery. Gippsland is where he established Bellvale, in 1990s.
