The Biscardo family has been making wine for over 150 years in the Veneto region. This is a bargain version of Veneto’s famous Amarone wines. The grapes are picked and placed out on mats to shrivel. This gives more concentration as well as richer flavours. Medium ruby in colour. Aromas of plums, prunes and black and red cherries leap out of the glass. The palate is on the fuller side with fresh and cooked red fruit flavours that hang around of ages.
