John Ellis is the man behind the Bellvale wines. His former life was as a Pan Am pilot, flying around the world. His love of wine lead him to Burgundy to learn how to grow and make wine. After leaving the airlines he went on a quest to find the perfect patch of land to start his own winery. Gippsland is where he established Bellvale, in 1990s. His Pinot Gris shows ripe melon and quince paste aromas. The palate is all ripe, yellow stone fruits, without being over blown or fat.
