2016 Fire Block 'Old Vine' Clare Valley Grenache

In 1995 Bill and Noel Ireland purchased the Fire Block vineyard. This dry grown vineyard is the second oldest in the region, planted back in 1926. They run it with no systemic sprays or fertilizers. The small volume of wine is made at O’Leary Walker. Aromas of dried herbs and aniseed balls and the palate has a soft rustic flavours. Raspberry fruit mingles with tobacco and leathery characters.
