2019 Kaapzicht Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc
Kaapzicht is a 4th generation, family owned and run business. The name means Cape View as the property sits on a hill looking over Cape Town and Table Mountain. The Steytler family’s vineyards are all dry grown. They have the second oldest Chenin Blanc vines in South Africa (planted in 1947). The wine is pungent, with white peach and nectarine aromas. The palate has more of the same with quince and a hint of sweetness.
