After two years of negotiations, Barbanera wines have hit our shores. They have never been sold in Australia before and in some instances, only tiny volumes were allocated. Only six outlets in Australia have access to them. These are special wines, made with love and passion.
Luca Maroni, Italy’s most famous wine critic rated them as his winery of the year in 2018 & 2020. He is like a god, in Europe and is the expert people go to when Italian wine is in the spotlight.
Their Chieteno is a Shiraz Merlot blend and Luca rated it 98 POINTS. Black currant and liqueur cherry aromas. The palate is fleshy and velvety with black currant and sour cherry flavours.
