2019 Barbanera Sangiovese Bianco Tuscany
This is the first time we've tried a white Sangiovese and it was a good experience. The winery did it as a trial and were impressed enough to release it to the public. The best way to describe it is a soft Viognier. It has apricot and banana skin characters, like Viognier, without that cloying feeling. It's an interesting style and requires food, like some cured meats or fish.
Italian wine journalist Luca Maroni rated it 96 POINTS.
