2018 Some Young Punks 'The Squid's Fist' Clare Valley Sangiovese Shiraz

The branding and wines are wild. The labels are polarising and artistic, the wines wonderful. Two of the three misfits, behind the wines are winemakers and the other science based. Their ‘Squid’s Fist’ is a blend of Sangiovese and Shiraz. The sour cherry characters of Sangiovese are noticeable, along with hints of bell pepper and savoury tannins.
