Michel Chapoutier’s family has been growing grapes in the Rhone Valley for over 220 years. In 1990, as a 26-year-old and seventh generation custodian he took over the reins. He has gone on to convert all the family vineyards to organic practices (biodynamic in some cases). His Viognier is off a single vineyard in Ardeche region, northern Rhone. It has delicate Turkish delight aromas and the palate is luscious, but not over blown like many Viogniers.
