2014 Totino 'Paracombe Creek' Adelaide Hills Shiraz
Italian born owner, Don Totino migrated to Australia in 1968, at the age of 18. In 1998 he purchased 25 ha of land in the Adelaide Hills, planting Cabernet, Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. He and his family are still hands on and from time to time release aged stock to their valued wholesale customers.
Awful label but pretty damn good wine, for the price. We looked at the sample over 3 days and it held up really well. Scorched almonds and bitter chocolate aromas and a palate that has roasted coffee flavours, some tart mulberry fruits and vanillin oak on the finish.
