2009 Chateau Musar 'Red' Bekaa Valley Cabernet Blend

Gaston Hochar planted his first vineyards in 1930, after returning from Bordeaux. In 2006 the vineyards were certified organic, the first certification in Lebanon. His ‘Red’ is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Cinsault (roughly a third each), all from low yielding bush vines. The 2009 was released in 2016 and will throw a crust, so decanting is recommended. It was not fined or filtered.
