2012 Massoni Pyrenees Merlot

Founded by Leon Massoni (founder of Florentino and Tolarno restaurants) on the Mornington Peninsula, in 1984. The Glenkara vineyard, in the Pyrenees was purchased in 1997. The fruit for this wines comes off that vineyard. The wine has a slight brown edge to the colour, but the wine is alive and well. Aniseed and chocolate aromas lead to a plummy palate with mocha / toffee to finish.
