2021 Hamelin Bay ‘Five Ashes Vineyard’ Margaret River Chardonnay

The Drake-Brockman family planted their Karridale property in 1992. Their site is the most southerly of any Margaret River producer (10 minutes from Leeuwin Estate). Winemaker, Richard Drake-Brockman makes his Chardonnay in the fuller style, even though the 2019 is leaner than previous vintages. Cinnamon stick and fairy floss aromas are followed by a textural palate, with lemon cheesecake flavours and coconut on the finish.
