Greenock Estate released its first commercial vintage in 2013. Three wine friends started the brand. One is a winemaker, one a viticulturalist and the other a wine marketer. Due to their connections they have access to some pretty old vine gear.
This 'old vine' release has a 15% alcohol percentage and the on the nose it is noticeable, with choc berry BIG M aromas. The palate is tamed back with loads of sweet spice, mocha and bitter chocolate.
